The moment when humans will set foot on Mars is coming closer every day. And maybe they will once live there permanently. To facilitate this we need to do the research here on Earth now. During the next step in our research project Food for Mars & Moon to feed the future inhabitants of Mars and the Moon, we will for example investigate if urine can be safely used as manure to let plants grow on Mars soil simulant.
